Dolphin Living has appointed Gary Preston to the team as Finance Director. In his role he will provide strategic and financial guidance to support the growth of the organisation and provide more high-quality housing for London's workers on modest incomes.
Gary joins with a wealth of experience in the property industry having worked for over 13 years in the financial departments of some of the UK's largest real estate companies. Most recently, Gary worked as Financial Controller at FTSE 250 property investment company CLS Holdings where he oversaw the financial management of all aspects of the business.
Prior to CLS Holdings, Gary worked at Derwent London, the largest central London focused REIT, for almost 10 years, where he supported the growth of the company from 25 to just over 100 employees and an investment portfolio worth £4.2 billion. During his time at Derwent, Gary worked closely with all departments from asset and property management through to the development division.
Gary's experience working with some of the UK's largest listed companies will be invaluable as Dolphin Living looks to expand its portfolio, with over 300 homes in planning or under development, to accommodate the increasing demand for affordable housing for London's key workers to their places of work.
Olivia Harris, Chief Executive of Dolphin Living, said:
By adding Gary to our leadership team we are gaining an experienced industry professional and specialist in the real estate sector. Gary has already hit the ground running and it is clear that his guidance and insight will support the team in building upon their excellent work to date.
Gary Preston, Finance Director of Dolphin Living, said:
Affordability is an issue effecting a huge number of people across the city and Dolphin Living's work gets right to the heart of the matter. I'm delighted to join Dolphin Living to support them in their mission of creating high quality homes for working Londoners. The company has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and I'm looking forward to working with the team going forwards.
Gary's appointment follows a number of senior promotions and external hires over the last year. Andrew Giblin was promoted to Chair of the Board, Jo Moran was appointed as a member of the Board and David Stevenson was hired from L&Q as Regeneration and Development Director.
